That's a good twist on the question "What are you looking for" specific to sales, but the principle is the same. You need to go into the event knowing what you're looking for, and then how to answer various phrasings of the question about what you're looking for.

My answer would be:
- consulting firms that help small businesses grow who need someone to assist from an IT perspective
- small businesses that are looking to expand their technological capabilities

When I meet somebody at a networking group meeting, the first thing I ask them is "what would be a good sales lead for you?".

It surprises me as well how many people have difficulty answering my question.

Now that could be because they have complicated business models, that require a lot of explanation.

Or maybe they just haven't thought about it.

When asked the same question, my answer is something along the lines of:
- graphic design companies and tech support people who want somebody to look after the web development side of things for their customers, on their behalf
- alternatively anyone with a budget for social media marketing or traditional SEO
